Southwest Artificial Insemination & Pregnancy Check Clinics
Hosted by Hidalgo County Extension Service in collaboration with the
Catron, Luna, Otero, and Sandoval Counties
& Extension Animal Sciences and Natural Resources
The Southwest Artificial Insemination & Pregnancy Check Clinics will provide producers with the opportunity to gain knowledge about their cattle's reproduction system and the ability to palpate and track the pregnancy stages of their cows. This program is designed as an awareness courses for producers, not a certification.

Registration & Fees: Online registration available to be paid with credit card or the mailing of a check.
- Artificial Insemination
- Fee: $525
- March 11 | 8 AM to 5 PM (Blandford Farms)
- March 12 | 8 AM to 3 PM (Blandford Farms)
- This class will provide students with the information needed to develop an artificial insemination program and the hands-on skills needed to artificially inseminate cattle. There will be online modules to complete before the hands-on program.
- Pregnancy Check
- Fee: $500
- March 12 | 6 PM to 9 PM (Quality Inn)
- March 13 | 9 AM to 5 PM (Blandford Farms)
- March 14 | 9 AM to 12 PM (Blandford Farms)
- The clinic will provide producers with the opportunity to gain knowledge about their cattle's reproduction system and the ability to palpate and track the pregnancy stages of their cows. This program is designed as an awareness course for producers, not a certification.
- Both Clinics Fee: $975 (AI and Pregnancy Check)
